Nightline and Soldiers
I just caught the end of Nightline tonight where they named the service men who have died in Iraq. I thought it was very tastefully done. It aslo put a name and face with the numbers we hear. Sometimes we hear the numbers, but never put a face or name that goes with that number. Having a name and a face to put to the number, you will be impacted in some way.
It causes a mix of emotions, it reminds us that war is not a pretty thing. I also wonder about the families behind the faces and names and how this lose affects them. I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect to these men and women.
I think this show was a good idea to do, to pay respect to those who have would have remained nameless to the majority of the American public.
